Hi jiang,
When you encounter the message "Invalid character code sequence detected", it typically indicates the presence of non-English characters in a file path.
You may want to check the following potential paths for non-English characters:
By replacing any non-English characters with standard English characters in these paths, you may be able to resolve this error.
I hope this information proves helpful to you!

Hi Tushar Sharma,
Thank you for your suggestion. I’ve checked all the paths you mentioned, including tempdir, prefdir, matlabroot, and the hostname, and I can confirm that none of them contain any non-English characters. Despite this, I’m still encountering the same issue with the error message: "Invalid character code sequence detected."
Would you have any other recommendations or insights on how to resolve this issue?
Thank you in advance for your help.
