How to extract base workspace data/variables in excel

I am having huge base workspace data/variables and i need to edit . Can anyone suggest how do i extract existing workspace to excel file?

Although, how does editing relate to exporting the data?

If you want to edit a variable with a GUI interface, try open

Example:

x = rand(4);
open x

This will open the variable in the variable editor.
