Hi,
Due to the last changes made by Oracle for the license policy of its Java Runtime (not free anymore in most of the cases), we have been asked by our global IT service to switch to OpenJDK. (through jenv command).
We are currently using Matlab R2022b and plan to use it until end of this year (migration to R2024b)
We checked R2023b and saw that Matlab has switched to (free) OpenJDK version (Java 1.8.0_392-b08 with Temurin OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM mixed mode)
We have therefore the following question:
- For our R2022b (Java 1.8.0_202-b08 with Oracle Corporation Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM mixed mode): can we keep it as Java Runtime Engine without paying any fee to Oracle ?
Thanks in advance
Luis
