As per title. What license do I need to use MatLab for youtube videos? What happens if I make money (in the longterm) from those videos?

You definitely want to contact support, as only they can answer your question.
I am not a lawyer. However, it seems if you are using MATLAB as a means to earn income, then you need the "standard" license. The "home" license does not apply to commercial applications. And even if you are not yet earning income, by creating YouTube content, you are effectively publishing your work, which suggests you still need the standard level license. And your "business plan" is to use the channel to earn income over the long term.
I doubt anyone would scream if you posted one video, and stopped there. But there is surely some point where you would have a problem if you choose wrongly.
So contact support to be sure.

I agree, if you monetize then you need a Standard license (or possibly a Startup license.)
If you do not monetize, there is more flexibility; you could potentially use a Home license if you do not monetize.
