I am interested on Flight Mechanics modeling with Simulink/Simscape for conventional take-off and landing aircrafts. In particular I would like to do something like a 2DoF with point mass modeling to simulate the taxi-out, take-off, climb, cruise, descend, and landing phases. I have been looking for good examples to start from but I have found nothing useful.
I think the blocks following blocks from Aerospace Blockset used togheter could be the answer :
4th Order Point Mass (Longitudinal) and
4th Order Point Mass Forces (Longitudinal)
Are there any demo or examples from Mathworks or the FileExchange I am missing?, I am familiar with some demos and examples on aircrafts but they are either for more degrees of freedom or directly using look up tables or other precomputed values rather than actually modeling the flight mechanics. Hope something comes up.
Thanks!

Simscape Multibody maybe? It's 3D and 6 DOF in general, but you may easily constrain things to 2DoF.

Hi,
As per my understanding you would like to model a conventional take-off and landing of an aircraft in Simulink or Simscape assuming point mass object and 2 degrees of freedom and need resources and demos regarding that.
The following MathWorks webinar and documentation links might help you with your task:
Hope this is beneficial!
