How to get the variables plotted from the FC Reference Architecture example into SDI ?

Long ago and far away, I was a frequent MATLAB user for Engineering applications. Fast forward a few decades and as a Transportation Tech faculty member, I am using many of the Simscape models to reinforce learning that is difficult, or very expensive, to explore in actual EVs & Hybrid EVs.
The Fuel Cell Reference Application model documented here is fantastic, but I am not experienced enough with Simulink to understand how to get the same variables that are shown in the Performance & FE Scope view exported to SDI. The learners in my classes, Automotive Tech students at a Tech College, absolutely see value in exploring data in SDI! Not so much in manipulating data in underlying MATLAB!
Thank you for pointers in getting these 8 vectors accessible for SDI. These variables do not appear when I launch SDI after the simulation runs.

Aha, the old way, circa 2014 when I think SDI first appeared, of highlighting signals to carry through to SDI has changed. So found the way in Simulink before another simulation run is to:
  • highlight the signals of interest, shown below as signals that were being input to the Performance & FE Scope
  • using the popup menu pick "Log Selected Signals"
  • after the run, the selected signals have been added to the SDI data
