I currently have a machine running Matlab 2018b that I'm connection to using a WCF service to execute code and I see the DCOM config as Matlab.Application 9.5. However when I also installed Matlab 2022b I now also see Matlab.Application 9.13 but the service is still connecting to the 9.5 CLSID. Is there a way to set the 9.13 version as the preference or do I need to uninstall 2018 and thus remove the 9.5?

It looks like comserver was avaliable starting in 2020b? I don't think this is the feature I was using in 2018b but I tried updating the user and admin registered versions but it doesn't seem to have had any effect.

For R2018b you would use "matlab -regserver" or regmatlabserver

To configure your WCF service to prefer MATLAB 2022b (Matlab.Application 9.13) over MATLAB 2018b (Matlab.Application 9.5), you can follow these steps:
  1. Open the DCOM Configuration utility on the remote machine (Machine 2) by navigating to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Administrative Tools" > "Component Services".
  2. In the DCOM Configuration utility, go to "Component Services" > "Computers" > "My Computer" > "DCOM Config".
  3. Locate "Matlab.Application.9.13" (for MATLAB R2022b) in the list, right-click it, and select "Properties".
  4. In the Properties window, navigate to the "Identity" tab, select "The Interactive User", and click "OK" to save the settings.
You may refer the below documentation and MATLAB Answers link to know more about the same:

I hope this helps!

I've made the update to the Identity to the Interactive User but the service is still connecting to the old clsid. Restarting and refeshing the service also had no effect.
