Error (design is not supported for lpda) when creating log-periodic antenna (lpda) in Antenna Designer

I am trying to design a logarithmic periodic antenna (lpda) in Antenna Designer. After selecting the antenna and entering a design frequency, I get the error message “design is not supported for lpda” when I click on accept. I have already tried different frequencies (500 MHz, 1 GHz, 5 GHz) and different dielectrics (FR4 and Air). I always get the same error message.

Hi Sebastian,
I understand that you are encountering an error while designing a log-periodic dipole antenna (LPDA) in the Antenna Designer app. I am facing the same issue on my system.
Upon reviewing the “LPDA” documentation for release R2024b, I noticed that the “Object Functions” section includes a mention of the design command and its input syntax. However, in the most recent documentation for release R2025a, there is no reference to the design function anywhere in the documentation.
This suggests that the design function is deprecated in the latest release (R2025a). As a result, any code or workflows relying on this function will not work.
Below are the two versions of “LPDA” documentation:
Hope this helps.
