Why does using S32k3's mbdtMATLAB crash

I have been using s32k3 MBDT recently, with MATLAB version 2025b and MBDT version 1.6. I don't know why the Simulink model MATLAB crashes when I open a module containing nxp encapsulation, and it keeps crashing.If you open a Simulink model without an NXP encapsulation module, it will be normal.The crash log is as follows:

This problem inexplicably appeared in January 2026, and there was no such situation from August to December 2025

The crash appears to occur while Simulink loads masked blocks or plugins associated with the NXP S32K3 MBDT blocks. Since models without the NXP blocks open normally, the issue is likely related to the toolbox installation, compatibility, or graphics/plugin initialization rather than the base MATLAB installation. Some general troubleshooting steps you can try:
  • Verify that the S32K3 MBDT version is officially supported with MATLAB R2025b. Third-party toolboxes sometimes lag behind MATLAB releases, and incompatibility can cause crashes when masked blocks are initialized. If possible, try opening the model in a MATLAB release known to be supported by that MBDT version or check the NXP compatibility documentation.
  • Clear Simulink and MATLAB caches and restart MATLAB, as corrupted cache data can cause crashes when loading masked libraries:
sl_refresh_customizations
rehash toolboxcache
clear classes
restoredefaultpath
rehash toolboxcache
savepath
  • Ensure the MBDT toolbox is correctly installed and on the MATLAB path. Re-installing the toolbox or removing duplicate toolbox paths can help if the plugin registration used by masked blocks is corrupted.
  • You can also delete the Simulink cache folders such as slprj.
