Best Algorithm for detecting shadow in a single image especially indoor scenes ?

Hey there,

I´ve read a lot of research papers concerning this task and also tested some algorithms. But for me nothing really worked well for indoor scenes. I want to detect objects in a room by using a ceiling camera. The task is, to avoid shadows also being detected as "object".
