Why does periodogram/window fail?

Any demo that I run containing the periodogram (for example the Spectrum Scope sink) fails with the same error message:
example from mixed signal blockset:
Error in 'pll_d1/VCO Control Spectrum/Spectrum Scope/Periodogram/Window' while executing C MEX S-function 'sdspwindow2', (mdlSetWorkWidths), at time 0.0.
Why is this?

The error appears to be occurring in the Spectrum Scope's Periodogram processing path, rather than in the PLL model itself. The failing block reported in the diagnostic is:
Spectrum Scope/Periodogram/Window
and specifically the DSP S-function:
sdspwindow2
From the information provided, it's difficult to determine the exact root cause. However, one useful troubleshooting step is to temporarily remove or disable the Spectrum Scope and verify whether the rest of the model runs successfully. If it does, that would indicate that the PLL simulation is functioning correctly and the problem is isolated to the spectrum-analysis subsystem rather than the Mixed-Signal Blockset model itself.
It would also help if you could provide:
  • Your MATLAB release (ver output)
  • The complete error message (including any text following sdspwindow2)
  • Whether a simple Spectrum Scope example outside of Mixed-Signal Blockset produces the same error
With those details, it should be possible to determine whether this is a toolbox installation issue, a version compatibility problem, or a model configuration issue.
