Hello,
I'm busy with a matlab project. In this project I got some CT-scans from the lungs and now I want to do a segmentation on it. This is an example of the scan:
I don't really know how I have to proceed. I tried to make the picture a black and white (now it's a grayscale), but it wasn't very usefull...

I'd try thresholding. Then call imclearborder() to get rid of any light stuff that touches the border. Then take the largest blob with bwareafilt(). If the area is not big enough, then take the biggest two blobs.

I understand that you would like to segment a image into different portions based on color. You can create segments of the image based on colors using K-means clustering algorithm. Refer to the following link for more details of image segmentation in MATLAB:
