dicom file with no extension

Hi,

I am trying to read a dicom file that I received from a clinical MRI scanner. However, the file named '10AC41F0' does not have the dcm extension, and the dicom read function doesn't read it, and gives me this message: Error in dicomread (line 79) [X, map, alpha, overlays] = newDicomread(msgname, frames);

Error in dicomcode (line 1) info = dicomread('10AC41F0.dcm');

Any suggestion on how to resolve this?
