# How to "filter" table to get the velocity of each y value but for a constant x value.

I have 3970*5 matrix, first two columns are the x and y co ordinate and 3rd and 4th columns are the velocities(u,v) and the last column is the reference values. so i want to get the velocity of each y value but for a constant x value.

here for one value of x we have 3 values of y and which contains 3 different value of u and v values. please tell me how to do filter so that i can get the values

You mean you want to combine/average rows with repeated y-values somehow? If so, show us an example of those rows and what they look like combined.

Or what do you mean for a constant x value? Like you want the velocity for x=59.998718 or for x=135.649277 or for some other constant x value?
