Maximize gui window without pressing the button

Hello,

I build a gui. Now if I press the maximized button in my window i have the desirable result. How can I have the same result without pressing the button but from the beginning? Any ideas? I tried that

set(gcf,'position',get(0,'ScreenSize'));

and that

set(gcf, 'units','normalized','outerposition',[0 0 1 1]);

but its not the same.

There are different things, which are called "maximized": Full screen for figure with and without border and both for the screen without the taskbar.

Under Windows you can use FEX: WindowAPI to get all 4 different kinds of maximization.
