Type of webcam to use in image proccessing

am working on a project in image processing. could someone please recommend a good webcam to be used in acquiring the images

When you ask for a "good webcam", then this can be understood as a contradiction. Many people understand "webcam" as a 10$ product. In order to recommend a camera, one would need more information about your project. When you are new to this topic, I personally would recommend to indeed start with a very low-budget camera and get started with the software. If you find later you need a higher quality of images, you can always try a better one and then also try it in your developped application.
