I use the function: X_InPlace = lwt2(I,LS,level,'typeDEC',typeDEC); CA = X_InPlace(1:2:end,1:2:end); CH = X_InPlace(2:2:end,1:2:end); CV = X_InPlace(1:2:end,2:2:end); CD = X_InPlace(2:2:end,2:2:end);
then, I change in the values of CA,CH,CV and CD
How can compound new subbands in one matrix as X_InPlace?

% assuming I was your input image
X_newInPlace = zeros(size(I));
CA = X_newInPlace(1:2:end,1:2:end);
CH = X_newInPlace(2:2:end,1:2:end);
CV = X_newInPlace(1:2:end,2:2:end);
CD = X_newInPlace(2:2:end,2:2:end);
