According to one user, he was not allowed to go browse through previous versions. If this is the case, you may want to contact Mathworks for installation support per Walter Roberson's comment.
Did you read the whole thread? I was not actually referring to Walter's answer, but to his comment to the cyclist's answer. Here is the cyclist's answer:
Log in to your Mathworks account
In the upper-right corner, you will see your account name, with a little pull-down arrow
Click on that arrow
Select "My Account"
Under "My licenses", click "Download Products"
Choose from "Download Earlier Release" from the right-hand column
What I was saying is if MATLAB R2011a is not showing up for you in "Download Earlier Release", then you will have to call Mathworks for installation support (Walter's comment). You will have to check yourself and may end up needing to call installation support.
