The original function I have use has z1, z2, z3, & z4. So that...
fz = f(z, z1, z2, z3, z4)
and
fz = (z-z1).*(z-z2).*(z-z3).*(z-z4);
AND....
function fprime = dfdz(z, z1, z2, z3, z4)
fprime = ...
(z-z2).*(z-z3).*(z-z4) + ...
(z-z1).*(z-z3).*(z-z4) + ...
(z-z1).*(z-z2).*(z-z4) + ...
(z-z1).*(z-z2).*(z-z3) ;
return
If I want my new fz to have z1, z2, z3, z4 & z5 I would have
fz = (z, z1, z2, z3, z4, z5)
and
fz = (z-z1).*(z-z2).*(z-z3).*(z-z4).*(z-z5);
BUT what would my fprime be?
How would I change my fprime
function fprime = dfdz(z, z1, z2, z3, z4)
fprime = ...
(z-z2).*(z-z3).*(z-z4) + ...
(z-z1).*(z-z3).*(z-z4) + ...
(z-z1).*(z-z2).*(z-z4) + ...
(z-z1).*(z-z2).*(z-z3) ;
return
