I am trying to find the sum of the following series:
1/((2k+1)^2 x (2k+3)^2) for 500 terms starting with zero
I have the following
syms k f= 1/((2k+1)^2.*(2k+3)^2) S_symsum= symsum(f, k, 0, 499)
Matlab keeps saying that I'm typing in the function f wrong. How do I fix this?

Hello,
You need a multiplication sign between 2 and k:
syms k
f= 1/((2*k+1)^2.*(2*k+3)^2)
S_symsum= symsum(f, k, 0, 499)
Hope this helps!
