??? Undefined function or variable 'matlabrc'

Hi all, When I start matlab I get ??? Undefined function or variable 'matlabrc'.Following <http://www.mathworks.com/support/solutions/en/data/1-8NTVUT/index.html?product=CO&solution=1-8NTVUT> advice , I typed mcrcachedir but I got an ??? Undefined function or variable 'mcrcachedir'. I need to use the functions roots and solve but I can't :( . 2 days ago I installed Maple15 , when I got this error I uninstalled it but it didn't help. Can anyonde help? :)

Hi,

in the folder matlab\toolbox\local there should be two files which might be affected: pathdef.m and matlabrc.m. Are they both there? Do both look reasonable (i.e., e.g. not empty)?
