extracting message bits from the LSB of the Quantized DCT coeffcients of stego photo

during the extraction of bits from the LSB of the Quantized DCT coefficients of a stego photo to retrieve the message when should I stop extracting (reaching the message length)..knowing that I do not the message length at the receiver side? and how to read the header of the extracted bits to find the message length and truncate m?
