Matlab writes wrong matrix to Excel

Hello everyone, I am writing a matrix (named: "A_proportions") from the workspace to an empty Excel spreadsheet (named: "proportions"). Nonetheless, when opening the Excel sheet the rows and columns are switched. In Matlab I gave the following command:

xlswrite('X:/My Documents/Msc. International Economics/MSc. Thesis/Data WIOD/proportions.xlsx',A_proportions')

Does anyone have an idea what I might be doing wrong? Thank you in advance!

1. Try saving it without transposing the matrix: ...A_proportions')
2. Are you sure that you are looking at that exact file?
