Apparently the bug is a well known issue in Matlab 2017a. After installing the hotfix from https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/1554513 matlab does not crash anymore.

I am using MATLAB 2023a. I also encountered the same issue while setting up communication toolbox for USRP Radio.

I doubt there's anything we can do about it on this forum. I would recommend you follow the advice at the end of your dump and contact mathworks directly.

There's certainly no way we can guess what went wrong just from what you've provided particularly as you haven't even told us what you were doing at the time or anything about what triggered the crash.
