I have an excel sheet named test.xlsx with two columns. I want to figure out the number of rows (not columns) and store that value in n...how to write such a code in MATLAB?

When you read an excel, it is stored as matrix. knowing dimension of that matrixs will do the work.
[NUM,TXT,RAW]= xlsread('path of your test.xlsx');
[NoOfRows,NoOfColumn]= size(TXT);

How to calculate how many rows are having numeric values and how many rows are empty in a particular cell of an excel sheet.I have to consider only one column of an excel sheet and find how many rows of that column are having numeric values.Please help me with this.
