standalone / node locked license

Hi,
I'm writing to ask if I have a standalone (or node-locked, I'm not sure if these are the same thing) license on one computer, will all the users (with different user account on the same computer) have the access to matlab and all the licensed toolbox or just the user who installed matlab with the standalone license has the access? Thanks!
Also, if when there's a new Matlab version, should I buy new license for each version, or it'll be covered? If I need to buy new license for the new version, will there's discount on the next version?
Thanks! Yifei

Visit https://www.mathworks.com/mwaccount/ and look under "Option". If it says "Designated Computer" then anyone logged into the computer directly at its console can use the license (so, any one person at a time.) If it says "Individual" then the license is tied to a particular username.
You can purchase Software Maintenance Service (SMS). During the period of your SMS contract, you are automatically entitled to any new releases. "Discounts on new releases" are typically handled by having the person back-purchase SMS, though there is a limit on how far back this is permitted.
