Assignment has more non-singleton rhs dimensions than non-singleton subscripts

I am getting this error while I am running a function, I am aware that a few instances like this might happen in the function. Is there a way that if this error occurs, then the function will move to the next iteration and have a Nan at the corresponding index where the error occurs.
Context: Basically In the function instead of returning one value the function at certain indexes return three values. So if this case occurs then I want the index to be replaced by a Nan, and later interpolate with the existing values

One possibility is to use a try-catch code structure.
