M_map help with m_ruler

how can I choose the position of the scale bar ?
I tried with get,set, tickdir, ... and I can't.

Ale - please provide some context. Is M_map from https://www.eoas.ubc.ca/~rich/map.html? What is m_ruler? Please clarify and provide some code (if needed to explain the problem).
