Greetings to the community, I would like to ask that is it possible to live stream a video from a webcam and using MATLAB to image process the video and build a smart traffic light? Current stucked on streaming live videos on MATLAB and transferring data to Arduino which controls the traffic light. Hope to find an answer here. Thank you in advance. I'm new to MATLAB and hope to find helps and guidance.

Hi Adrian,
Instead of using the Raspberry Pi, you can download the USB Webcams support package and use the webcam and snapshot commands to get images directly into MATLAB for processing:
See webcam.
Hope that helps,

When I try to download the USB Webcams support package, it states that the version is not compatible. Do you have any idea about it?

Hi Adrian,
What is the version of MATLAB you are using? Any screenshots of the error message would help as well.
Please note that this support package is functional for R2014a and beyond.
Please follow the steps mentioned in the below doc for the proper way of installing the support package.
