Does keeping a parallel states in model mandate that ECU in which your code should be dumped should be multi core. Is it necessary to have multicore ECU to dump code generated from state flow that have parallel states. i am new to matlab spare me if i am wrong

Hi,
No, single core is enough. Please don't think it is parallel processing, the content of all the parallel states will be executed in a sequence.
Parallel state refers that all the states will be active in a single sample time. If you visualise interms of C code, content of all the parallel states will be executed in a sequence in a given sample time.
Thanks.
