splash screen for compiled application goes away before application launches

5 views (last 30 days)
When we launch any of our compiled applications in Windows 10, the splash screen for the app shows up but then goes away (from the screen and the windows toolbar) long before the app ever launches. We have not seen this problem in Windows 7. We have tested applications compiled in Matlab 2015b and 2018a and both show this problem. 1. How can we make the splash screen stay up until the tool loads so that the user does not suspect failure? 2. Can we speed up the application loading?

In Windows 11 Pro, a compiled Matlab application 2022b does not show the splash at all but takes more than 40 seconds to appear. This leaves the user wondering.
When the application is run as administrator, the splash screen shows up.
Same questions:
1. How can we make the splash screen stay up until the tool loads so that the user does not suspect failure? 2. Can we speed up the application loading?

This an old question, but...
(1) Unfortunately, there is no solution yet. I dealt with this by developing a splash screen app in c# (Visual Studio).
(2) Unfortunately, no. Mathworks should be trying to create a small version of the MCR, only with the toolboxes that your app required, but no... you have a gigantic MCR with 7GB. I don't know, but it doesn't look like a good approach.
