MATLAB 2017a freezes on Linux OS during plotting figures

4 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
I am running a Matlab function but all of a sudden, I couldn't do any commands at all or even run basic scripts due to matlab freezing up my entire computer. I've tried restarting the system, but it keeps happening.
I think it is happening due to the figure/plot commands in the script. When I use the plot command, before the code could finish the test, my computer freezes, meaning that my computer does not respond to my mouse or my keyboard. In this case, I must turn off the computer with the power button, without having the chance to save any outputs plus all the plots lost. I have tried disabling the Source control option in the preferences and Drawnow command in my script to see the error. When I used Drawnow command in my script, it start plotting figures 1 upto 30 but then it crashes beucase plotting results of harmonic analysis for 3600 points is too much.
Do you know why this is happening or have a solution to suggest?
Thanks in advance,
