Got my Uni licence activation code but not recognised when I attempt to install Matlab in Ubuntu 14.04

Hi Mathworks,
Hopefully an easy one for the experts here. I requested a Matlab activation key from my Uni (which has an ongoing site licence agreement) which I received by email, in the form:
xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
However, when I run the installer from the Ubuntu terminal, Matlab window opens to start the installation, but the installation key is not recognised. I get an error: "You have entered an invalid File Installation key". Could you please help me? I attempted couple of different versions such as the 2015a (the one that seems to be compatible with another matlab based software I run) and 2018b (the most recent one).
Thank you,
George

In fact, I may be confusing the File Installation key with the Activation code. I have registered my licence, how do I get the File Installation key please?

Hey,
From your question it appears that you may have been inputting the Activation Key into the File Installation Key window. An Activation Key associates you with a License, while a File Installation Key allows you to complete an offline installation (on a machine that does not have access to the internet). If you are looking to complete an offline installation, you will need to receive a File Installation Key from the Administrator of the License. Otherwise, you should be able to continue through the Installation by logging into your MathWorks Account, rather than providing a File Installation Key. The installation process instructions, and instructional video can be found here.
