Hi,
I have some data which represents unevenly spread pressure along a wall
% X % Y
P =[ 0 0
9.34 1378.43
9.34 610.86
10.84 624.51
10.84 751.48
15.00 1032.41
15.00 32.13
15.54 33.27
15.54 0
16.84 0
16.84 0
18.34 0
18.34 38.49
19.00 40.01];
Now what I need to do is find the resultant and it's attack point on the wall
The resultant I can simply find by using the trapz function: F=trapz(P(:,1),P(:,2)) which for the above data example yields F=11117.85
However is there a way in matlab calculate the attack point (location of the resultant) in a easy way?
From manual calculation I find it to be 8.86 from zero.
