I have a real time data of excel file which updates with respect to encoder data each second, I am able to plot the data in matlab but I have to run(F5) each time to get the updated one. Is there any automated way of refreshing/run(F5) the matlab code rather than infinite loop( the time limit which I can just estimate for my work is 3 hours,). Please let me know if any method available for my issue.

Thanks for the response., but the above have the excel data linked but the matlab does not change the data. i just want to update the graph with the updated excel data. does the linkdata still work for that. Recently i came to know about the timer function but it has a delay. i dont want the delay. i want to see the real time path.

You can use an infinite while loop to continuosly import excel data. Or use the infinite while loop to continuosly check if data has been changed and then import.
