HOW CAN A CREATE A NOTEBAD OR MS.WORD FILE AND THEN HAVE ACCESS IN IT ?

I would like to create a notepad or Ms Word file in a specific folder that its name is been given by the user of my GUI in an edit box and its on a handles(handles.Fak_asthn) .So i make the created folder my current folder and there i save some images ,i would like the user to have the ability to keep notes and then later if he wishes to load the folder (patient) and see the images and his notes.

I can not find how to do that ...how to create a file for notes and then save it ,and load /recall it ?

I 've tried several things,I managed something similar with

 notebook(handles.Fak_asthn); but i dont think thats the correct function and when i try to load the folder files and specific the .doc file by notebook  matlab gives me 
??? Error using ==> feval
Server Creation Failed:The class is not registered.

I think notebook isnt the right function.

Please give my your thoughts and help ...
