Edges of narrow objects in image

Hi everyone,
I have the following image and when I look at the boundaries, soem part of two boundaries are o ntop of each other. How can I make sure the boundaries of a narrow object (containing maybe one pixel) is coorectly detected?

Can you attach the original image using the paperclip button for attachments, and provide code you used to generate the binary image to the right.

I resized the image 3 times and use bwboundaries to find its boundaries, then for the boundaries of the real image, I found the closest integer to points of the resized boundaries divided by 3.
