Basically I have a matrix
A = [0 -1 -2; 2 1 2; 0 0 0 ]
then three syms
syms a
syms b
syms c
and another matrix, named answer
answer =
[ 0, (2*(a - b))/(b - a + c) - (2*c)/(b - a + c), b*(c/(b - a + c) - (a - b)/(b - a + c)) - a*((2*c)/(b - a + c) - (2*(a - b))/(b - a + c)) + c*((2*c)/(b - a + c) - (2*(a - b))/(b - a + c))]
[ b/(b - a + c) - (a - c)/(b - a + c), b/(b - a + c) - (a - c)/(b - a + c), a*(b/(b - a + c) - (a - c)/(b - a + c)) - b*(b/(2*(b - a + c)) - (a - c)/(2*(b - a + c)))]
[ 0, 0, 0]
I would like to find values for a,b,c so that matrix A equals matrix answer
How can I do that?
Thanks

One option is to use the "solve" function, with independent asssignment of equations in your matrix: "answer" to each value of the matrix: "A" . It should work nicely.
