Matlab R12 Student version Image
Show older comments
Hello, I bought several years ago the Matlab + Simulink R12 Student version (as attachment you have the customer letter copy from Matlab).
I moved to a new portable PC with no external CD, so I should use one CD image to run it.
I tried to register my license on the Matlab site, but Matlab Licence command get me only STUDENT as answer, no licence or activation key.
How can I get the CD image for Matlab R12 to start the software on my PC?
I'm planning to buy the latest version of Matlab, but before to move on I still have some applications build on the oldest release and these doesn't work on the recent version (I checked with the trial version).
Thank you for your help,

Those CDs are no longer available.
You can perhaps download the installers from https://www.mathworks.com/downloads/web_downloads/select_products?dl_action=choose_products&platform=win32&release_name=R12.1&tab=f
Also, when you buy a current MATLAB license, then for at least the Standard (commercial / professional) and Academic licenses, you gain the right to use any previous version as well -- though you might need the assistance of Mathworks Support to generate an appropriate license key for you for versions that old. I believe that also applies to Home licenses, but I have never been clear as to whether Home licenses can download versions from before Home licenses existed. I am not certain that it applies to Student licenses, however.
