Applying fixed temperature to face in 2D thermal simulation?

3 views (last 30 days)
Hello,
I'm very new to the PDE toolbox, and I am running into the issue of wanting to apply a fixed temperature to a face of my 2D model. However, the only way I can find to do this is to set it as a boundary condition, which is not allowed for faces in 2D thermal simulations. Is there another way to do this? Any suggestions or hints would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Lisa,
In 2-D, faces are part of domain. If you apply fixed temperature on a face, then that is the solution, no? If it is an initial condition, then you can do so using thermalIC function.

Ravi
