What's the diff between seqfilter & seqtrim?

Both of the function seems to remove sequence with bad quality, doesn't make them overlaped?

The way I read the documentation, seqfilter selects or rejects sequences and seqtrim edits the sequences themselves.
I have never worked with this toolbox before, so I might be wrong.
