how to compare the images of non stander objects with stander objects like circle, square, triangle, rectangle etc ??

Hi all i am doing project on the object sorting. i had captured the images of stander objects like circular objects, square, triangle, rectangle etc (i have set some stander for that or having some stander area) and non stander objects (which are having different area from the predefined area ). now i have to compare the stander object with non stander objects and i don,t know how to perform this in MATLAB. please provide me the solution for it.
