My multibody modle shall change length, mass, inertia of the rod during simulation. Is this supported in the Simulink

I don't think it is supported yet. I tried it some time ago, but simscape blocks didn't respond to that. Simsapce blocks are different as compared to normal Simulink blocks, so I guess there are some implementation differences. You may try it using event-listeners and set_param() as given here: https://blogs.mathworks.com/simulink/2013/01/25/accessing-block-data-during-a-simulation/.

Hi Mark,
There are variable solid blocks in Simscape Multibody.
- https://www.mathworks.com/help/physmod/sm/ref/variablecylindricalsolid.html

Their properties can vary during simulation.
You can also motion actuate a joint to change the separation of two frames during simulation.
