mpeg-2 audio /video decoder

i'm doin a project "MPEG-2 audio/video decoder in verilog HDL..for this...i need an encoded bitstream of mpeg video..but..i don't know how to do this in Matlab using video processing...can anyone give some idea regarding this doubt..
