App Designer .exe very slow

I have an app in App designer created by an ex-colleague, in the app there's one drop down which has 2 options: Yes and No, the app runs fine When the option chosen is No. But gets stuck in a fucntion when the option chosen is "Yes". So I tries the debug mode, it's working fine in that, I am not able to pinpoint the issue here.

Once I have run the application properly in debug mode, later when I try the app runs fine with or without debug mode. Little lost as to what might be the cause of this.

You can try upgrading to MATLAB R2020a. It has some significant improvements in App Designer Code View which has enhanced the performance when displaying and editing code in App Designer.
