Figure Toolbars missing when using plottools

Hi, I am using Matlab Ver 7 (R2010a). Suddenly I am not able to see the "views", "Insert" and "Tools" menus / buttons whenever I am trying to plot a new figure. When I open a previously saved .fig file it opens correctly with all the Figure Toolbars, only for new figure it's not visible. I think earlier I had closed certain buttons inadvertently.
I tried the following link also but for me it didn't work out as I have just the two files mentioned in the solution: http://www.mathworks.in/matlabcentral/newsreader/view_thread/312493
Then I tried to regenerate my preferences by using the link http://www.mathworks.in/matlabcentral/newsreader/view_thread/312493 even then the problem continues so I reverted it.
Currently I am just using "plotregression" and docking it using plottools.
Please help me ASAP.
Thanks very much in advance.

set(gcf,'toolbar','figure')
set(gcf,'menubar','figure')
