How can I find the roots (x,y) of a function f(x,y)?

Primarily are following two ways.
If you have the Symbolic toolbox, you can use solve(): https://www.mathworks.com/help/symbolic/solve.html or vpasolve(): https://www.mathworks.com/help/symbolic/vpasolve.html.
If you have the Optimization toolbox, use fsolve(): https://www.mathworks.com/help/optim/ug/fsolve.html
You can also try fmincon() and treat it as a optimization problem.
