Auto-Detect Steady State Data

Hello, I have a 1x1200 matrix of values that describe a varying temperature of a surface. I want to create a code that averages the function, but only if the values within said function are within 1 unit of each other. Additionally if the function enters another steady state afterwards, I would like it to assign that steady state average to a seperate variable. This is because the Data has a massive and sharp dip about halfway through as the sensor was jostled.
