How to add drop lines into plot ?

Is there any way to add drop lines into plot? I can do that in MS office softwares, but I could not find in Matlab,

I don't know about drop lines, but one way to achieve this might be adding a stem plot on top of your plot.

x = 1:5;
y = [6 3 7 5 9];
plot(x,y)
hold on
stem(x,y)
hold off
