regarding CAN communication using Vehicle Network Toolbox

1 view (last 30 days)
Hi, I am trying to run the demo HOST-TARGET communication in vehicle network toolbox. I am using phycore phytech MPC555 rapid development kit as the target and vectorCAN caseXL log as the interface in 2011b. I changed the CAN configuration where I set the baud rate to 125k (low speed)as my interface allow me to use that baud rate as maximum value. I also remove jumper connection from the MPC555 board to remove the 120ohm terminating resistor. But when I start the demo there is no error in the command window but its showing error on canCaseXLlog('error' led on the interface is flashing) and canTool is also showing error. Could you please suggest me something what should i do or where am I making the mistake.
Thank You

Please check the baud rate configured within CAN Tool and ensure that it matches the 125 kbps value being used on the target side. The baud rate must match on all modules communicating on the network. CAN Tool is likely defaulting to a 500 kbps speed and thus you are seeing error frames.
